Whispering Pines Designs, specializing in architectural designs and custom home plans, is located in the beautiful Chain O' Lakes area of Waupaca, Wisconsin.

After working for over 20 years in the design field and co-owning a high-end custom home building business with my husband, I have developed a love for the creative nature of design in general.

I have a degree in Interior Design which included  education in   architectural design, a " well-trained eye," and years of experience in this field.  I have been using a C.A.D. architectural program for over eight years.  The program is "SoftPlan," and I continue to update my Softplan software regularly  as new versions are introduced. I offer Softplan design service and revisions to plans drawn with Softplan.

My goal is to create plans for homeowners, builders or  designers that are thorough,  detailed,  and  easy to understand.  From a builder's perspective, I understand how important this is and how much easier the building process is when the plans are designed  in this manner.   If I have tough engineering situations, I have a competent in-house advisor, my husband, Dan, whom I can turn to for help.  His knowledge and expertise in building are extensive.

My mission is to execute and provide designs that are truly a collaboration of  clients'  and designer's ideas.  Complete customer satisfaction is my priority.

I work with clients throughout the U.S. either directly with homeowners or in partnership with builders or designers via email, telephone,  fax, etc.  Although I mainly design new homes, I have also worked with clients on their remodeling projects and  additions.   Communication is the key to making sure the      project moves along  smoothly  and  timely  and  is   my strong suit and a great reason to work with   Whispering Pines Designs. Costs for designs are based on a per-square-footage rate.  The square footage is the finished area drawn on the main floor, additional floors (second, third, etc.), and finished basement/lower level areas.  Garages are not computed, however, bonus rooms above garages are added in if they are designed to be finished.
